In Part 3 of our Teryx Rebuild, Paul at Zero Tolerance fab has been working on rebuilding the front end of the car.  We decided it would be best to start from scratch so we could guarantee that everything was square as we had crushed on of the lower rear suspension mounts on the car.  I couldn’t be happier with the work that Paul has done and in the time that he has done it.  Seeing the progress that he has been making has me itching to get behind the wheel and try the car out.

Enjoy the next set of photos.  We will have more next week.

Paul has been working away in the shop getting the car ready. He has made some great progress in the last week on the rear end of the car. We completely cut out the rear section of the car and rebuilt it. We had drug the car in the dirt too much and the frame rails were twisted pretty bad. We utilized the factory rear uprights and identical tubing for the frame rails. we reinforced certain areas for additional strength as well. The next project is to do the same thing with the front end. Stay tuned for part three.

With the way the Best in the Desert season works, our off season could be considered the break between the first and second race of the year as it is almost 4 full months with no racing action. During this time we are taking the opportunity to make a few changes to the car and do some repair work that was long over do. What do we have in store for the down time? Well you could say that the car will be a whole new vehicle when it’s all said and done! We will be making changes to the suspension, Motor package, and Chassis. Stay tuned as we will post regular updates of the car and the progress that is being made.

To get the ball rolling, we took our Kawasaki Teryx over to Paul at Zero Tollerance Fab to repair some damage that was done to the frame rails. The quality of work that Paul delivers is unbelievable! Follow along as Paul gives us a first hand look at what he has done!

This Rhino has the best of everything. There was no expense spared in building this car. It is a UTVRA, SCORE, CORR and BITD Legal Car. It features a six over suspension kit from Twisted Laboratories, one of a kind remote reservoir Walker Evans Shocks that can be adjusted from in the cab, all suspension mounts and shock mounts have been reinforced for extra strength, Gear One Billet Steering Box, Beard Suspension Seats, Simpson D3 restraints, Custom air intake and exhaust for both the motor and clutch, Forced air induction to flow over the motor to help keep it cool, Motor was recently rebuilt by Larry Lockmann of Performance Rhino and was bored out to a 686cc with a modified stock carb and a ton of great goodies inside the motor. The rhino also has a 12-gallon Fuel Safe fuel cell with two fuel pumps and all braided stainless steel lines. The Car uses 26 x 9 x 14 inch big horns on all corners. 14 X 7 Bogart Billet Wheels with OMF Beadlocks and Reinforcement rings were used as well. There are options for multiple batteries for long distance races as well. There are a ton of other goodies that are included in this car as well. Way too many accessories to list.
